Nicole Ari Parker (born Nicole Ari Parker) is an American actress, who is employed in both film, television as well as theatre. Contractor began acting at age 16 after completing a total of 10 years in dance. As soon as she finished high school, she won a full Scholarship to University of Toronto. At the University of Toronto she completed the Master of Arts in Theatre. She was also a double major in sociology and psychology. Contractor attended the highly-regarded Stratford Shakespeare Festival in Ontario, Canada, for Pericles. After a full year, she was awarded the role of lead. The production she appeared in were praised by Canadian reviewers. The conservatory at Stratford is home to eight males as well as four females along with a couple of others for a weeks crash course. Contractor's place in the following production was secured, and she won the role as Hermia.
